The Chiefs have been in a brutal betting slump to close the season. Their last five games produced just one ATS win and a clean sweep of five unders, while the last ten sit at 2-8 ATS with nine unders. That late-season fade has left them looking like a side that struggles to cover numbers once the script turns against them.

For the full year Kansas City finished 6-11 ATS, a mark dragged down by their performance as favorites. They covered just four of 14 spreads when laying points and managed only one win as an underdog. At home they were respectable at 5-4 ATS, but on the road the record collapsed to 1-7. The totals market has been even more one-sided: just four overs against 13 unders, well below the league average.

First-half trends offer little relief. The Chiefs led at halftime in only seven of 17 games, the same number they led after the first quarter. While they showed occasional early edges, those leads rarely translated into strong second-half margins or consistent covers. The heavy under bias has been especially pronounced in recent weeks, with scoring drying up across both home and away environments.

The clearest standout came in Week 4 when they covered a 2.5-point spread as home underdogs against Baltimore, winning 37-20. Beyond that single result, most of their ATS wins were narrow or came against weaker opponents, while road losses piled up against playoff-caliber teams.

Right now the sharpest angle is to continue fading Kansas City on the road and in totals. Their 1-7 away ATS mark and persistent under streak suggest the market has not yet fully adjusted to how little this version of the team produces when forced to play from behind or travel.
