NFL TNF – GAME REVIEW – DAL v NYG
Cowboys hit the road after back to back losses and face their divisional rival the New York Giants, who are coming off a surprising win, here’s what we expect.
Cowboys (1-2) @ Giants (1-2)
Head to Head $1.43 (-233) Cowboys $2.85 Giants (+185)
Spread Cowboys -6.5
Over / Under 45.5
Team Totals 25.5 Cowboys 19.5 Giants
COWBOYS
Cowboys have given up a massive 557 yards rushing in 3 games, at an avg of 185.7 yards / game and an avg of 29.7 points / game against. If the Cowboys don’t want to drop to 1-3, then they’ll need to look to improve their rushing D. Prescott has looked very average again this season as he continues to miss the mark, throw picks at the wrong time, and his offense line is allowing too much pressure giving up 9 sacks already this year. The Cowboys do have weapons, they need to execute better, and make better decisions, but will that happen in a divisional rival game. We’ll say the Cowboys will be better this week, hard not to be really.
COWBOYS STATS and MARKETS TO FOLLOW
Prescott ALT PASSING +250 yds $1.62 (-161) – Prescott Avg 283.7 thru 3
Prescott 2+ PASSING TDs $1.72 (-139)
GIANTS
Giants have had 2 poor losses, of which neither team is expected to be a +500 season team, to the Vikings 28-6 and the Commanders 21-18, The Giants put up their first win of the season last week on the road against and very average and probably also sub 500 team, beating the Browns 21-15. Jones was efficient 236 yards, 2TDs, and zero intercepts, both TDs to Nambers and Singletary rushed one in as well. The concern was that the Giants didn’t score a second half point after they lead the game 21-7. A second half that included 5 punts, a fumble, and a missed Field Goal, all show there is serious inconsistency with this football team.
GIANTS STATS and MARKETS TO FOLLOW
GIANTS RUSH ATTEMPTS 26.5 $186 (-116)
GIANTS OVER 1.5+ FIELD GOALS $1.90 (-111)
PLAYER STATS / PROPS
Malik Nambers WR – 3 TDs 90.3 yards per game
Devin Singletary RB – 2 TDs 65.7 yards per game – Singletary 60+ RUSH YDS $1.81 (-123)
OUR PREDICTION >> Cowboys historically turn these games against pour opponents into 30 + point games and win easily, but this Cowboys team is questionable. Ravens are obviously a better team than the Giants and Dallas put up points (albeit late) there, but no guarantee again this week. For the Giants they’ll have to challenge the Dallas Defence Rush, Giants can’t go into a shootout as they don’t have the offence or QB for that. So Giants can keep it close if they control the clock and slow the game down, look for Giants Rush Attempts and Giants to kick field goals in a low scoring game.
For Dallas if they don’t win this and cover then that $60 million a season is a very expensive buy, but we’re sure they’ll take the win if they can get it.
